मणिबंध से मोटे तौर पर आयु का भी अनुमान लगाया जाता है परन्तु यह अन्तिम सत्य नहीं है। आयु के लिए हाथ के अन्य लक्षण भी देखने चाहिए। अखण्डित एक रेखा युक्त मणिबंध से 25-30 वर्ष, दो से 50-55 वर्ष, तीन से 75-80 वर्ष एवं चार पर शतायु माना जाता है। (देखें चित्र संख्या-259) मणिबंध की रेखायें सुस्पष्ट, सुन्दर पुष्ट हों तो जातक स्वस्थ, प्रसन्न, भाग्यशाली एवं दीर्घजीवी होता है। अस्पष्ट एवं दोषयुक्त रेखा होने से जातक व्यर्थ में खर्च करने वाला हो जाता एवं स्वास्थ्य भी हल्का रहता है।

मणिबन्ध के बारे में विद्वानों के मत हैं वराहमिहिर के अनुसार- दृढ़, मजबूत एवं पुष्ट संधियुक्त मणिबंध वाले जातक राजा सदृश होते है।

हस्त संजीवन के अनुसार- ढीला, टूटी-फूटी रेखाओं युक्त एवं हाथ हिलाने पर चटकने बाले मणिबंध से व्यक्ति भाग्यहीन, दु:खी तथा गरीब होता है।

हस्तरेखा विशेषज्ञों का मानना है। कि- मणिबंध में जौ नुमा अथवा यव के चिह्न होने से व्यक्ति श्री सम्पन्न, बुद्धिमान एवं अधिकार युक्त होता है। मणिबंध संबंधी फल : सामान्य रूप से माना जाता है कि मणिबंध से उदित होकर कोई रेखा अंगूठे की तरफ जाए तो जातक को राज्याश्रय तथा सुख प्राप्त होता है। तर्जनी की तरफ जाने पर राज्य मध्यम की तरफ जाने पर अपने क्षेत्र में अग्रणी, अनामिका की तरफ जाने पर धनी, व्यापारी तथा कनिष्ठा की तरफ जाने पर यशस्वी व प्रसिद्ध होता है।

मणिबंध के अन्य फल इस प्रकार हैं-

1. तीन मणिबंध हों लेकिन जीवन रेखा कमजोर हो तो भाग्योदय एवं सफलता के साथ स्वास्थ्य संबंधी कमजोरी रहती है।

2. पहली मणिबंध मेहराबदार होकर हथेली में प्रवेश कर जाए तो उत्सर्जन एवं प्रजनन

अंगों में रोग होता है । ( देखें चित्र संख्या-260)

3. पहला मणिबंध श्रृंखलाबद्ध हो जाए तो मेहनत के बाद सफलता मिलती है।

4. मणिबंध से एक उर्ध्व रेखा शुक्र पर्वत को भेदती हुई बृहस्पति पर्वत तक पहुंच जाए तो लम्बी दूरस्थ यात्राओं की बदौलत सम्पन्नता प्राप्त होती है। (देखें चित्र संख्या-261)

5. यदि मणिबंध से उदित दो रेखायें शनि क्षेत्र पर पहुंच कर आपस में एक दूसरे को काटें तो यह यात्रा में किसी गहरी दु:खद घटना को दर्शाती है । हो सकता है कि जातक दूरस्थ स्थान से वापस ही न आवे । (देखें चित्र संख्या-262)

6. पहले मणिबंध से एक उर्ध्व रेखा सूर्य पर्वत पर पहुंच जाए तो जातक को विशिष्ट व्यक्तियों के सहयोग से धन एवं मान की प्राप्ति होती है। (देखें चित्र संख्या 263)

7. पहले मणिबंध से एक उर्ध्व रेखा बुध पर्वत पर पहुंचे तो अचानक धन प्राप्ति हो। सकती है। (देखें चित्र संख्या-264)

8. चन्द्र पर्वत से मणिबंध पर रेखा पहुंचे तो यह विदेश अथवा समुद्रपारीय यात्रा कराती है। (देखें चित्र संख्या-265)

9. यदि यह रेखा भाग्य रेखा को काटकर जाए तो यात्रा नुकसानदेय एवं कष्टप्रद होती है।(देखें चित्र संख्या-266)

10. मणिबंध पर बिन्दु पेट के रोग दर्शाते हैं। यदि दो मणिबंध परस्पर मिल जाये तो दुर्घटना के सूचक होते हैं। साथ ही कोई रेखा शुक्र पर्वत पर भी जाए तो कामुकता एवं केतु क्षेत्र पर जाए तो चिड़चिड़ापन दर्शाती है।

11. लाल रंग की मणिबंध रेखा दुर्घटना, नीली रेखा रोग, पीली रेखा विश्वासघात एवं हल्की गुलाबी रेखा शुभता दर्शाती है।

12. मणिबंध से चन्द्र पर्वत पर आने वाली रेखायें यात्रा के अवसर देती हैं परन्तु आड़ी रेखाओं द्वारा बाधित या काटने पर व्यवधान आते हैं। 13. मणिबंध से उदित होने वाली यात्रा रेखा जीवन रेखा में विलीन हो जाए तो व्यक्ति विदेश में ही बस जाता है ।( देखें चित्र संख्या-267)

14. पहले मणिबंध पर क्रॉस होने पर संघर्ष पूर्ण जीवन के उपरान्त खुशहाली आती है अर्थात् उत्तरार्ध सुखद रहता है ।( देखें चित्र संख्या 268 )

15. पहले मणिबंध पर त्रिकोण का निशान होने से वसीयत द्वारा वृद्धावस्था में धन लाभ मिलने की संभावना होती है।

16. अच्छे हाथ में मणिबंध पर सितारा धन लाभ एवं बुरे हाथ में दुश्चरित्रता दर्शाता है।

17. मणिबंध से उदित कोई रेखा, स्वास्थ्य रेखा को काटे तो दुर्भाग्य पूर्ण खराब स्वास्थ्य | रहता है। (देखें चित्र संख्या-269)

18. मणिबंध से उदित यात्रा रेखा का अंत क्रॉस में होने पर यात्रा दु:खदायी होती है।

19. मणिबंध से उदित यात्रा रेखा का अंत द्वीप में होने पर यात्रा में धन हानि, निराशा एवं असफलता मिलती है।

20. यदि तीनों मणिबंध रेखायें एक समान जगह से खण्डित हो जाये तो जातक सत्य से परहेज करता है तथा झूठे घमण्ड एवं असत्य भाषण के कारण दु:खी रहता है।
