A To Z Yogas (Signs & Indications) On Hand In Indian Palmistry

A To Z Yogas (Signs & Indications) On Hand In Indian Palmistry

Ancient Indian palmists have given a lot of importance to the geometric images, images similar to animals and objects. Signs that have images similar to elephant, horse, fish, peacock, lion are classified as signs similar to living beings. Likewise signs similar to sword, garland, pot, mirror etc are classified as signs of objects. Signs of god include laxmi, shiva, gauri, etc.  Swastika, triangle etc are classified as geometric signs. Although living being, objects, gods and geometric signs are not very clear but with practice they can be identified easily. The effects of these signs depend on their usage for eg. if someone has sign of a farming equipment then he can get success as a farmer and if someone has signs resembling sword etc then he can be a warrior and have success in wars.

In this post you will find all different yogas on hand in Indian Palmistry. But most of them are not applicable in modern era or not fit in modern palmistry.

The Different Yogas (Combinations) of Palmistry

Gaj Laxmi Yog

Definition : If, in both the hands of an incumbent, the fate line starting from the bracelets, goes to the mount of Saturn and the mount of Sun is developed having a thin, long and reddish Sun line; along with these signs if the head line, health line and fate line are prominent, then his/her palm has Gaj Laxmi Yog.

Economically and materially such persons lack nothing. Such persons are gentle by nature, judicious and virtuous. By engaging themselves in trade or working in foreign countries, they get much success. A person having Gaj Laxmi Yog is wholly successful in his life. His fame in his field remains permanent even after his death.

Amla Yog

Definition : If the mount of Moon is developed—the mounts of the Sun and Venus are also quite bulging and the Moon line goes towards the mount of Mercury, then the person has Amla Yog.

Result : A person having Amla Yog is considered wise, clever and famous. Such a person is wholly successful economically and materially. He goes abroad in his life on business tours. If the mount of Venus is fully developed in his hand and on it there are no obstructing lines, then certainly he enjoys material happiness. He has illicit relationship with other women also. He does not need to face blame in his life.

Amla Yog

Shubh Yog or Auspicious Combination

His speech is enchanting and he is adept in the art of getting favour from the public. Such a person has a facinating and splendid personality.

Note : A person bestowed with the ‘Shubh Yog' has a rise in fate away from his birth place.

Shubh Yog

Budh Yog or Business Combination

Definition : If the mount of Mercury is developed in itself in the right hand with a bow marked line reaching the mount of Mercury from the mount of Moon, and this line is not broken or chained or is not very thick, then it marks Budh Yog in a person's hand.

Result : One who has the Budh Yog, gets success through business. He never lacks wealth or honour. Physically, he keeps ft and looks attractive. He spreads his business abroad by his efforts. Such a person takes quick decisions and has a healthy mind. He is very clever and wise and destroys his enemies.

Such a person is clever in conversation and has affable and simple nature. His fate rises after the twenty-eighth year of his life.

Indra Yug

Note : This is like Raj Yog, so it has been experienced that the person who has this yog, dies prematurely. But such a person becomes famous in the short span of his life. His honour spreads far and wide. Materially, such people do not lack anything. Such persons get full respect, reputation and fame in their lives.

Such persons can claim whatever they wish for.

Marut Yog

Note : While studying this yog it should be taken care that the mounts of Venus, Jupiter and Moon are fully developed in themselves and the lines of Venus and Moon do not fall short in any way.

Lagnadhi Yog

Definition : If the fate line is fully developed, all the mounts in the palm are also developed in themselves and the line of Mercury has its full length, then the person has Lagnadhi Yog.

Result : A person having Lagnadhi Yog is very learned and a clever speaker. Others also recognise his learning. From health point of view, the person is healthy, strong and atttractive. He has high and sublime thoughts in his heart. He has no interest in worldly affairs and tricks. He becomes famous by his works.

Lagnadhi Yog

Note : This yog will be recognised only when all the mounts are fully developed and are situated at their respective places. If the mounts are scattered here and there, then the person does not get the benefit of this yog.

Adhi Yog

Definition : If the line of Moon is developed and reaches the mount of Mercury and one of its branches touches the mount of Saturn, then the person has Adhi Yog.

Result : A person born with this combination has humility. He is clever, cautious and works according to the need of the time. Such a person enjoys his whole life happily. He lacks nothing materially. But sometimes such persons believe on their enemies and are later cheated by them.

Adhi Yog

Note : This combination emphasises on the line of Moon and the point to be considered is that the inclination of the line should be towards the mount of Mercury but one branch of it should reach the other mount.

Shakat Yog or Unfortunate Combination

Definition : If the mounts of Saturn and Moon are depressed, the mount of Venus has vertical and horizontal lines and the fate line is very weak, then the person has Shakat Yog.

Result : A person, who is born with Shakat Yog, remains unfortunate throughout his life. He keeps on struggling throughout his life. Many times, he has got to take loan to pull through. Such persons do not have any reputation in the society and they lead a very ordinary life.

Shakat Yog

Note : Persons having Shakat Yog get the above mentioned results mostly. But if his mount of Jupiter and mount of Mercury are developed and the mount of Jupiter has a cross mark, then he does not get such a bad result as mentioned above.

Daridra Yog or Combination of Poverty

Definition : If all the mounts in the palm of a person are weak, the mount of Moon has points and the little finger has a sign of a star then it amounts to Daridra Yog.

Result : A person born with Daridra Yog combination spends the whole of his wealth by his evil doings, though he is born in the house of a multi-millionaire. He is compelled to lead the life of a very poor man. The whole of his life becomes very ordinary in all aspects.

Daridra Yog

Note : Palmists have also mentioned the following combinations as Daridra Yog. These are besides the above mentioned combination:

  1. If the Sun line and the fate line are very weak and broken.
  2. If the fate line is thick and inset in the palm and reaches upto the first phalange of the finger of Saturn.
  3. If the mount of Venus is depressed and contains more than necessary obstructing lines.
  4. If a number of lines are descending down in the palm.
  5. If there is a mark of star on the first phalange of the finger of Saturn and the fate line is weak.
  6. If the line of Sun has turned and is going towards the mount of Venus.
  7. If the palm is big and heavy and all the mounts on it are weak and depressed.
  8. If the mount of Moon is weak and contains more than one crosses.
  9. If the fingers of the hand are short, their tops are squarish and the fate line is moving out of the palm.

Any of the above combinations makes a person weak economically.

Durdhara Yog

Definition : If the mount of Venus, the mount of Sun and the mount of Saturn are depressed and the Sun line is broken, then it makes Durdhara Yog.

Result : A person having Durdhara Yog spends his early life with great difficulty but his fate rises after the thirty-sixth year of his life and after this age, he progresses miraculously.

Durdhara Yog

Note : The results of this combination are very strange. The first thirty-six years are spent in great misery, difficulty and tension but the age after 36th year is full of happiness and prosperity. He earns wealth, reputation, fame and respect in full after this age.

Kemdrum Yog

Definition : If the mount of Sun and the mount of Venus are undeveloped and the Sun line is broken, then such a combination in the palm is called Kemdrum Yog.

Result : One who is born with this combination always remains miserable. He may have other good combinations but this combination destroys all other good combinations. Such a person commits mistakes himself and is not far-sighted. He repents later on. Economically, he remains very poor and changes the means of his livelihood frequently. Such a person always depends upon others.

Kemdrum Yog

Note : Some learned palmists think that if the fate line is prominent, then it destroys the Kemdrum Yog. Some other eminent persons have clarified other facts which break the Kemdrum Yog.

The following situations in the palm can lessen the influence of Kemdrum in the life of a person:

  1. If the Sun line is fully strong, clear and straight.
  2. If a branch line from the Sun line reaches the mount of Mercury.
  3. The mount of Venus is prominent and is enlarged in area and it has no other lines or net.
  4. The mount of Moon is fully developed and a line coming out of it reaches the mount of Mercury.
  5. There are four full and clear bracelets.

Special Note : In fact, the combination of Kemdrum is full of misery. It has been written in the book entitled Samudrik Sudha that if a person has full Rajya Yog and prominent rise in fate but if he has Kemdrum Yog, all the other good combinations are destroyed and those auspicious combinations also start giving results of inauspicious combinations.

Anfa Yog

Definition : A person who has a wide and influencial Venus area and the Sun line and the fate line establish relationship ahead, then such a combination is called ‘Anfa Yog'.

Result : A person having Anfa Yog has a very impressive and magnetic personality. He is able to influence others with his personality. He is honoured in the society by his good works. Such a person adheres to his own thinking. He is wise, virtuous and gentle. He wants to be honoured and gives respect to others.

Anfa Yog

Note : This combination is there because of the union of the Venus, the Sun and the Saturn. So, with the influence of different planets, its results also change. If there is the result of more than one planet, then it should be considered a mixed result.

The Venus

If there is Anfa Yog in the palm and the mount of Venus and the line of Venus are the most developed, then that man will be a famous lover. He comes into contact with many other women along with his wife. Such a man can enchant the hearts of others.

The Saturn

If there is Anfa Yog in the palm and the mount of Saturn is fully developed and line of Saturn is also influential, then such a man is very lucky. He is born in a famous family. He leads his life happily. He is able to influence others by his words. He knows it fully well how to spell-bound people by his dialogues. He gets the facility of vehicle throughout his life. He also keeps contact with fair ladies one way or the other. Such a person is virtuous, wealthy and bestowed with a son.

The Sun

If there is Anfa Yog in the palm and the mount of Sun and the Sun line are prominent and strong, then the person has special interest in business. He is also adept in poetry, music and other fine arts. Such a person gets special success in service and very soon, he is able to get a higher post. His body remains healthy and attractive. His personality influences all those who meet him. He becomes very popular in the society because of it. Such a person remains happy and successful in his life. He spends his life happily and is honoured in the society.

Sunfa Yog

If the mounts of the Sun, the Saturn and the Mercury are developed and the three respective lines are clear and unbroken, then the person has Sunfa Yog.

Result : The person who has Sunfa Yog is laborious in his life. He earns wealth due to his labour and makes a respectable position in the society. He exhibits caution and cleverness in all his works. Being farsighted, all his decisions are correct. Such a person leads a fully happy life.

Sunfa Yog

Note : This yog is possible due to the Sun, the Saturn and the Mercury. The one prior condition for this yog is that the line of Mercury, the line of Saturn and the line of Sun should have relationship in the palm at one place. In the following lines, I am giving in detail the special results affected by each planet.

The Mercury

If there is the Sunfa Yog in the palm and the line of Mercury is more developed and more clear than any other line, then the person takes more interest in arts. Such a person follows the social traditions and responsibilities fully. Also such a person follows the social taboos. He is wise, handsome and a well-wisher of others.

The Saturn

If there is Sunfa Yog in the palm and the mount of Saturn and the Saturn line are specially prominent and straight, then the person is considered wise and gets success in politics. Such a person does not worry about wealth in his life. He can keep secrets and does not reveal them till he gains his point. His behaviour is simple, straight and mysterious.

The Sun

If there is Sunfa Yog in the palm but the mount of Sun is specially developed and the line of Sun is prominent, then that person becomes an honoured high officer. He is very successful in the field of administration. He is considered well-versed in settling responsible works. Such persons start from an ordinary post but are able to gain a higher post successfully.

Ashubh Yog or Inauspicious Combination

If the sun line is broken and there is no mount of the Sun, then it is called Ashubh Yog in the palm.

Such a man is firm, strong, healthy and is firm to his words. If he gives words to anyone then he tries to fulfil his promises.

Ubhay Charik Yog

He gets full success in the field of education and in his youth, he helps the poor, the orphan and the suffering. I have experienced that the person has all the above virtues but he is also lascivious. He has illegitimate relationship with many women besides his own wife. He gets praise in the society and lacks nothing in his life.

Parvat Yog

Note : It has been written in the books of palmistry that if such a person tries, he can become a Sarpanch (village-headman) or a Municipal Commissioner or member of the District Board. Though such persons are not successful politicians but they can be faithful to many high ranking ministers or members of the legislative assembly.

Wasi Yog

If the palm has Wasi Yog but the fate line is broken, then the person commits many such mistakes for which he remains repentant and perturbed in his life. He always thinks of taking revenge and collecting money through cheating is his tendency throughout his life.

If the Sun line is broken or weak or there is no Sun line, then the person is compelled to lead a very ordinary and miserable life.

Note : While studying Wasi Yog, one should also consider the Sun line and the line of Saturn. Only after studying them should one venture to predict his results about the Wasi Yog.

He gives money and respect to artists and thus gains respect, honour and fame in the society. Such a person has a magnetic attraction by virtue of which he has a galaxy of male and female friends.
